What is redpilled? What does being redpilled mean? Where did it come from? Why do people use the word redpilled?

Redpilled is a reference from the movie “The Matrix” where Neo, or Thomas A. Anderson, the main protagonist is presented with a choice from Morpheus. Morpheus offers Neo a redpill or a bluepill.

“This is your last chance … after this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill – the story ends, you wake up in your bed, and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill … you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes.”

-Morpheus Warning to Neo (From the Film: “The Matrix”)

In the world today, the word “Redpilled” gets thrown around at times – it refers to the truth behind a situation, especially a truth that is difficult to accept.

According to Cambridge Dictionary – red pill means: beliefs, choices or information that allow you to see the world as it really is, even though you would feel safer or happier if you did not.

The red pill reveals the true world, while the blue pill keeps the real world hidden from you.

So which pill are you going to take? The red pill or the blue pill?

Are you going to wake up? Or will you be “woke”?

The choice is yours, and yours alone – you can choose to ignore the realities of the world or you can discover what is really happening in the world today and why they are happening.
